Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Personas mobile application (the “App”), published by Lev Litvak (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”), handles your information. By using the App you agree to this policy.
The short version
Personas was designed to keep your personal content on your own device and in your own private iCloud. We do not run a server that stores your contacts, schedules, or messages, and we cannot read them.
Information you create in the App
You can add contacts (a name and an optional photo) and configure message schedules. This content is stored:
- Locally on your device, and
- In your own private iCloud account via Apple CloudKit, so it can sync across your devices.
This data lives in your private iCloud database, governed by Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy. The Developer has no access to it.
Character and message content
The characters and pre-written messages shown in the App are downloaded from a public content database (Apple CloudKit). Downloading this content does not send your personal information anywhere.
AI replies (on-device)
On supported devices (iOS 26 and later), characters can reply to messages you write using Apple’s on-device foundation models. This processing happens entirely on your device. The text of your conversations is not sent to the Developer or to any external server for this feature. On earlier iOS versions this feature is unavailable.
Usage analytics
We use a third-party analytics service to understand how the App is used (for example, which screens are opened and which features are used) so we can improve it. These analytics events are aggregated and do not include the personal text of your messages or your contacts’ details.
Purchases and subscriptions
Premium features are offered through the Personas Pro auto-renewable subscription. Payments are processed by Apple. We use a third-party purchase-management service (RevenueCat) to verify your subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Apple handles all billing.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require you to create an account or provide an email, name, or phone number to use the App.
- We do not store your contacts, schedules, or message history on our own servers.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
The App relies on the following third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Apple (App Store, iCloud/CloudKit, on-device AI)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Amplitude (usage analytics)
Data retention and deletion
Because your content is stored on your device and in your private iCloud, you control it. Deleting the App removes its local data from the device. To remove synced data, delete the App’s data from your iCloud account in your device settings.
Children
The App is not directed to children. Some characters include mature (18+) content, and the App carries a corresponding age rating on the App Store. You must meet the minimum age required by the App Store rating and applicable law to use the App.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
